Are you passionate about education, leadership, and making a meaningful impact? Chess Wizards is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Area Director to oversee instructor coordination, training, and program quality initiatives in the Chicago area.
This hybrid position offers a mix of work-from-home flexibility and on-site school visits, making it perfect for an individual who thrives on both strategic planning and hands-on engagement.
What Youβll Do:
β Recruit, hire, and train new chess instructors to ensure high-quality teaching.
β Schedule and coordinate instructor assignments, ensuring smooth program operations.
β Conduct classroom visits for training, evaluation, and professional development.
β Step in as a visiting or substitute instructor when needed.
β Build strong relationships with schools and partners to support business growth.
β Address client concerns, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
β Lead coaching calls, instructor roundtables, and performance check-ins.
What Weβre Looking For:
πΉ Education & Leadership Experience: 1+ year in a leadership role within an educational setting.
πΉ Chess Knowledge: Strong understanding of chess principles is required.
πΉ Excellent Communication & People Skills: Ability to engage and motivate instructors, students, and school partners.
πΉ Flexibility & Problem-Solving: Able to adapt to changing needs and resolve challenges efficiently.
πΉ Tech-Savvy: Must have a reliable home office setup (high-speed internet, computer, email, and Skype).
πΉ Reliable Transportation: Ability to travel within a 30-mile radius of Chicago.
πΉ Availability: Mornings required; occasional evening flexibility to support instructors in different time zones (if applicable).
πΉ Compliance: Must meet all state requirements for educational workers before the start date.
